| Brand | What is in it | Per dose |
|---|---|---|
| Cervavac Our choice Serum Institute of India | Quadrivalent recombinant, HPV types 6, 11, 16 and 18. Licensed 9 to 26 years, both sexes Indian-made, and by a wide margin the most affordable option. | ₹2,000 |
| Gardasil MSD | Quadrivalent recombinant, HPV types 6, 11, 16 and 18 | ₹3,927 |
| Gardasil 9 MSD | Nine-valent recombinant, HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52 and 58 Covers five additional HPV types. Whether that is worth more than five times the price is a conversation, not a given. | ₹10,850 |
For most people within its licensed age range, the Indian quadrivalent vaccine gives the great majority of the available benefit at a fraction of the cost. The nine-valent vaccine covers five further HPV types and is the better product on paper; whether that difference justifies the price is a decision we make with you rather than for you.
