Yellow fever: we cannot give this, and here is where you go

No private clinic in India may give yellow fever vaccine or issue the international certificate. In Telangana there is exactly one authorised centre. This page exists because the information is genuinely hard to find.

Who this is recommended for

  • Travellers to countries with a yellow fever entry requirement or transmission risk
  • Anyone whose destination requires an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis
  • Not required for pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia directly from India

Schedule

A single dose. The certificate becomes valid ten days after vaccination and is then valid for life.

Timing

Plan at least three weeks ahead. The certificate is not valid until day ten, and appointment slots are limited.

What we will not gloss over

  • The certificate must be the original. Photocopies are rejected, and alterations invalidate it.
  • Take your original passport to the appointment; it is mandatory.
  • Exemption certificates can be issued for infants under nine months, pregnancy, thymus disorders and immunocompromised travellers.
  • Do not travel within ten days of vaccination.

Vaccines are prescription medicines. Suitability, timing and contraindications are determined by a doctor after individual assessment. This page is general information about a clinical service and is not a prescription, a recommendation to purchase any product, or a substitute for consultation.

Not sure what else you are missing?

Most adults are missing two or three. Two questions will tell you which to raise.
