About Dr. Muzammil

Dr. Sayyed Muzammil AK holds an MBBS and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Cardiology, and is currently pursuing MRCP (UK). He practises internal medicine and non-invasive cardiology together, on the view that heart disease is not treated in isolation from the rest of a patient's medical care.

ECG and 2D echocardiography are done in the building. The Cardiac Profile at ₹999 covers an ECG, a 2D echo, a capillary blood glucose and his consultation.

Patients with heart failure needing decongestion or stabilisation are admitted under him. Every inpatient bed has a cardiac monitor, and nursing cover runs through the night.

What Dr. Muzammil treats

  • Cardiac risk assessment in people with no symptoms
  • High blood pressure and lipid management
  • Heart failure, and the admissions it sometimes needs
  • Palpitations, breathlessness and chest discomfort that need working up
  • Follow-up after angioplasty, bypass surgery or valve replacement done elsewhere
  • Pre-operative cardiac fitness before non-cardiac surgery
  • Heart and medical problems in pregnancy and after delivery
  • General internal medicine: anaemia, thyroid disorders, fevers, diabetes alongside heart disease
