OVERVIEW

One doctor, both conditions

Most people arrive here having been told, usually kindly, that they need to try harder. That is not what the biology says.

Diabetes and obesity are treated here the way blood pressure is treated: a long-term plan, measured properly, reviewed on a schedule, and changed when it stops working. Both are managed together, by one doctor, because in most people who have them they are one problem.

  • Type 2 diabetes, from the first abnormal report onwards
  • Type 1 diabetes, including insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring
  • Prediabetes, where the work is preventing the diagnosis rather than treating it
  • Obesity, assessed against Indian cut-offs rather than European ones: a BMI of 23, not 25
  • Thyroid disease and the conditions that travel with it
  • Fatty liver, which most people are told about and then told nothing further about
THE FIRST VISIT

What actually happens

Dr. Khizer Hussain Junaidy examining a patient at Caspian Healthcare

A full history, a proper examination, and measurement: weight, waist, blood pressure, and a capillary glucose done in the room while you are there. If you have previous reports, bring them. If you do not, the laboratory is in the same building and most results are back the same day.

You leave with a written plan and a follow-up date. Not a package.

What it costs

₹400 for the consultation, including the glucose check and the diet consultation. The same ₹400 at every follow-up: we do not charge more for a longer visit. ₹500 from 16 September 2026. Laboratory tests are billed separately by our laboratory, Caspian Diagnostic Centre, at its listed rates.

GO DEEPER

The full obesity section

Twenty-seven pages on how obesity is assessed and treated here: why Indian bodies are measured differently, what the first year is realistically like, what it costs, how to tell a legitimate supply from what is sold on Instagram, what happens if you stop, and what we will not promise you.

SCOPE

What we do not do

We do not do bariatric surgery

There is no operation theatre here. If your assessment points that way we will say so and refer you to a surgeon, rather than keep you here.

We will not put a number on your result

Anyone promising you a specific number of kilos is either guessing or selling.

We will not treat you without measuring you

Weight, waist and blood glucose at the first visit, and again at review. A plan that is not measured cannot be corrected.
