Most urgent problems can be assessed, investigated and treated in one visit here, at any hour of the day or night. Because the laboratory and the pharmacy are in the same building, you are not sent across the city at two in the morning for a blood test or a medicine.
What we treat, at any hour
- Fever, infections and acute illness in adults and children
- Uncontrolled blood sugars, hypoglycaemia and diabetic problems that do not need intensive care
- Dehydration, vomiting and diarrhoea needing intravenous fluids
- Asthma attacks and breathing difficulty that responds to treatment here
- Minor injuries, wounds, dressings and sutures
- Uncontrolled blood pressure without organ involvement
- Acute pain, allergic reactions and other short-term problems
What we cannot treat, and what to do instead
We are not a trauma centre. We do not have an intensive care unit or a catheterisation lab.
If you or a family member has chest pain, sudden weakness or difficulty speaking, a serious accident, heavy bleeding, unconsciousness, a seizure that will not stop, or any condition that appears life threatening, call 108 or go directly to the nearest tertiary hospital.
If such a patient arrives here, our team will assess and stabilise them immediately and arrange transfer to an appropriate hospital without delay. We would rather tell you this clearly now than have you lose minutes at the wrong door.
Call before you come
Phoning ahead on +91 89193 41154 helps us have the right doctor ready and, where a case is beyond what we provide, lets us tell you before you travel rather than after.
If you need to be admitted
We have five inpatient beds for patients needing a few days of supervised care, with nursing cover through the night. Conditions we commonly admit, the accommodation and the published tariff are all on the inpatient care page.
Where we refer
Patients needing intensive care, surgery, cardiac intervention or a specialty we do not provide are stabilised here and referred promptly to Saradamba Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS), Vidyanagar, or to another appropriate centre. We send the clinical details ahead so the receiving team is not starting from nothing.
